Shipping Policy

For local deliveries, we may deliver the item ourselves. We will contact you to arrange a delivery date and timeframe as we are nearing the completion of your furniture. Our warehouse is based in Southampton (Unit 11, Chalcroft Business Park, Burnetts Ln, Southampton SO30 2PA). Collection from this location is free. For health and safety reasons you will need to contact us prior to collecting to booking a collection slot.

UK Shipping prices are for mainland UK only and does not include the Scottish Highlands, remote islands or Northern Ireland. Please get in touch for more accurate costs if you are unsure.

Our standard build time is 4 weeks. Once complete, the items will reach you within 1-4 working days. Please note delays can be possible due to carrier delays which are outside of our control. Please get in touch as one of our friendly team will be able to chase the couriers on your behalf. For all custom items, we will provide you with expected delivery timescales. If you require your order by a certain date, we strongly advise you to contact us in advance. Please note, when ordering multiple items there may be a longer delay which will not be mentioned when ordering.

We use a variety of trusted private couriers as well as larger delivery companies such as DHL, UPS, and Hermes. The private couriers will contact you to ensure your availability prior to delivery. For larger companies, we will provide you with delivery tracking details to track your parcel.

If your order has been sent with a tracking link, please check this first before making contact. Otherwise feel free to get in touch with us and please mention your order number.

All policies above also apply to non-UK deliveries with the amendments and additions below.

All none UK deliveries (unless in the EU and under €150) are subject to customs charges, including the EU (as of January 1st, 2021) Customs charges are calculated once your furniture arrives at your local port. for this reason, we are unable to determine whether you will be charged for any import taxes and by how much these will be. Please get in touch and we can offer advice on expected costs

Import duties/handling costs are not the responsibility of The Room Divider Company. If you refuse the delivery and the order is returned to us, you will be liable to pay any costs that arise from this. The Room Divider Company will not be responsible for any charges that customs enforce on any packages.

The courier will try to clear your package/s as quickly as possible through customs; there are occasions when customs require extra information to clear the goods.

Customs may contact you directly and it is your duty to receive these calls and make suitable arrangements for delivery and tax/duty charges.

It is very important that you check the delivery and contact details are correct and that you are able to receive the goods.

Customs will be in touch to clear your goods using the contact details provided. Failure to do so could mean the goods are returned to us at cost.

Additional delivery costs will also be incurred should you want them sent back out. In this situation, these costs will be forwarded to you/ the purchaser of the goods.
